On Thursday, the Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) announced a significant 54% increase in net profits, attributed to the ongoing demand from artificial intelligence applications that continue to benefit global chipmakers. During the July-September quarter, the company’s net income reached 352.3 billion Taiwanese dollars, equivalent to $10.1 billion, exceeding an estimate by LSEG of 300.2 billion Taiwanese dollars, as reported by Reuters.
TSMC holds the position as the world’s largest manufacturer of advanced chips, supplying major clients such as Apple and Nvidia.
