Amazon has announced its plans to stream a live election night special on Prime Video, aiming to establish the platform as a go-to destination for election night coverage. The special will be hosted by Brian Williams, a former anchor of NBC Nightly News, and is scheduled to begin on November 5th at 5 PM ET.

According to an Amazon blog post, Williams will be joined by a variety of guests, including notable contributors from across the media landscape, to provide real-time poll results and commentary. The coverage will incorporate insights from third-party news sources across all political affiliations, ensuring a presentation that is informative, accessible, and non-partisan. The identities of the guests will be disclosed in the upcoming weeks.

Rumors regarding the show and Williams’ involvement surfaced last month. This election night special is part of Amazon’s broader strategy to offer live programming through Prime Video. The company has been broadcasting live Thursday Night NFL games since 2022 and is set to stream numerous NBA games starting in 2025.
