Elon Musk announced that a super political action committee he established will distribute $1 million daily until Election Day to a person who signs a petition advocating for free speech and the right to bear arms.
The group, supporting Donald Trump and named America PAC, intends to randomly select a registered voter in swing states to receive the prize until November 5, according to a post by Musk on X.
Musk expressed confidence that this initiative would ensure widespread awareness among residents of swing states.
Musk has contributed nearly $75 million to America PAC, which was formed earlier this year to support Republican candidates in pivotal districts across the United States. He has emerged as a prominent supporter of Trump, utilizing his social media platform X for promoting the former president.
In battleground states, polling averages indicate that Trump holds a narrow lead over Kamala Harris, who would be the first Black and Asian woman to win the presidency.
Musk is the sole donor to America PAC, making seven separate contributions between July 3 and September 5, as noted in the latest Federal Election Commission filing. A significant portion of the committee’s expenditure, amounting to $68.5 million, has been used to support Trump.
In a post on X last week, Musk mentioned that registered voters in Pennsylvania would receive $100 for signing the free-speech petition until midnight on October 21.
