The Department of Justice (DOJ) has placed one of its senior immigration lawyers on leave following his criticism of the Trump administration’s role in the erroneous deportation of a Maryland resident to El Salvador. The lawyer, Erez Reuveni, represented the U.S. government in court on Friday in the case involving Kilmar Armando Abrego Garcia, who was mistakenly sent to a prison in El Salvador.
