The recall of over four dozen dairy products due to possible listeria contamination has expanded, now including enchiladas, bean dip, dressings, and sauces sold at various chain stores including Albertson’s, Costco, and Trader Joe’s. The recall was initiated by Rizo-López Foods, with products distributed nationwide and sold under brand names such as 365 Whole Foods Market, Don Francisco, and Tio Francisco. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced an expansion of the recall resulting in more than five dozen products being affected, sold at Costco and Trader Joe’s.

Additional products have been recalled by other companies such as Fresh Creative, Simply Fresh, and Trader Joe’s, due to the cheese ingredient supplied by Rizo-López Foods. These products were sold in various states and no consumer complaints have been reported. Consumers are urged to check their refrigerators and freezers for any recalled products and to dispose of them immediately. The FDA has complete product descriptions and UPCs on its website. Listeria infection can cause serious illness, and consumers are advised to follow the FDA’s safe handling and cleaning advice to prevent the spread of contamination.
