The A&R Awards 2023, the most anticipated music industry event in the UK, is just six weeks away. The event will take place on the evening of November 7 in Central London. All tables on the show floor have been sold out, with only two balcony tables remaining. The event will recognize and honor individuals and companies working in the independent and major sectors across record labels, publishing, and management. Categories range from Songwriter of the Year and Producer of the Year to Song of the Year, which celebrates the best hits written by British or UK-based writers. The winners will be determined by the votes of a select group of music industry experts and the awards will highlight up-and-coming talent, as well as honor industry icons.
This year, the A&R Awards will feature two new categories: Songwriter/Producer Management Company of the Year and Artist/Label Services Company. These additions will recognize the success and development of indie artist signings and the management of songwriters and producers. The event will also present awards for A&R of the Year in different genres including Adult Contemporary, Contemporary Black Music, Electronic/Dance, Pop, and Alternative. Furthermore, there will be awards for A&R Administrators and Artist Management Companies, as well as for Manager of the Year. The winners will be decided through confidential votes from music industry experts, and supporters of the event include Abbey Road Studios, YouTube Music, and various other music companies and platforms.
