He was most recently the head of TikTok Artist Services (SoundOn) for the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia at ByteDance. In his new role, Nair aims to leverage his extensive experience and combine it with Tips Industries’ strength in music content creation to generate higher revenues and deliver value for shareholders.
Founded in 1988, Tips Industries has been a prominent player in the Bollywood industry, releasing music for major blockbusters. The company’s music catalog now features 30,000 songs across different genres, languages, and decades. Nair expressed his delight at joining the Tips team, praising the company’s quality music catalog, focused content acquisition strategy, and its track record of profitable growth. He also acknowledged the promoters’ experience and clear vision in navigating India’s ever-evolving digital landscape. Tips Industries recently reported its best-ever quarterly earnings, with revenues of 52.6 crore (approximately USD $6.4 million), marking a 54% YoY increase.
