SESAC Music Group subsidiary Rumblefish has promoted Lauren Apolito to the position of Executive Vice President, Strategy & Business Development. Apolito was instrumental in transforming Rumblefish’s rights management service and establishing partnerships with consumer media brands. In her new role, she will expand her portfolio to build relationships with businesses that can benefit from SESAC’s Licensing and Administration Services. Michael Simon, President of HFA and Rumblefish, praised Apolito for her leadership in driving revenue growth, client diversification, and licensing opportunities. Apolito, who serves on the Advisory Board of Women in Music and mentors at various programs, previously held positions in banking and asset management.

Rumblefish, acquired by SESAC in 2014, provides music licensing and related services for the management and distribution of music rights and royalties. Since the acquisition, Rumblefish has formed partnerships with companies like 7digital, Facebook, and Pinterest to facilitate licensing and administration. SESAC continues to expand its offerings through acquisitions, including the Harry Fox Agency, AudioSalad, and Music Services. The investment giant Blackstone Group acquired SESAC in 2017.
