Live Nation, the concert giant, has announced that its US clubs will no longer take a cut of artists’ merchandise sales at live shows. Under the program “On the Road Again,” artists will now keep 100% of the profits from their merch sales. The initiative aims to support developing artists and crew at the club level and will also provide an additional $1,500 per show to cover travel and fuel expenses for artists playing at participating clubs. Live Nation’s support extends beyond artists, as they will also provide financial bonuses to local promoters, tour reps, and venue crew members. Additionally, they will donate $5 million to their Crew Nation relief fund. Through this program, Live Nation is expected to deliver tens of millions of dollars in extra earnings to club artists and crew.

Live Nation’s decision to stop taking a percentage of artists’ merch profits at live shows is part of its “On the Road Again” program.
