In midday trading, several companies are making headlines for their stock movements. Some, such as chipmaker Nvidia, have seen a 4% climb and reached an all-time high after an increase in its price target by Goldman Sachs. On the other hand, fast-food chain McDonald’s reported a revenue miss in the prior quarter and saw its shares fall 4%. Similarly, social media giant Snap announced a 3% slide in its stock after revealing plans to lay off 10% of its workforce. Meanwhile, Eli Lilly, Boeing, Tyson Foods, Caterpillar, Estée Lauder, ON Semiconductor, Air Products and Chemicals, and Zscaler all experienced fluctuating stock prices based on their quarterly results and financial performance.

Nvidia saw a 4% climb and reached an all-time high after Goldman Sachs increased its price target to $800 per share from $625. On the other hand, McDonald’s shares fell 4% after the fast-food chain reported a revenue miss. Several other companies, including Snap, Eli Lilly, Boeing, Tyson Foods, Caterpillar, Estée Lauder, ON Semiconductor, Air Products and Chemicals, and Zscaler, also saw fluctuations in their stock prices based on their quarterly results and financial performance. It’s a mixed bag for investors as they continue to monitor the midday trading and assess the impacts of company-specific news on stock movements.

One notable mention is the pharmaceutical company Eli Lilly, which gained nearly 5% ahead of quarterly results. The company is expected to provide updates on the launch of its obesity treatment Zepbound. Similarly, ON Semiconductor added close to 9% after fourth-quarter results came in above Wall Street estimates for both revenue and adjusted earnings per share. However, Air Products and Chemicals saw a significant 14% pullback after missing Wall Street estimates in the fiscal first quarter on both the top and bottom lines, while the cybersecurity stock Zscaler slid about 6% after the resignation of its Chief Operating Officer. Each company faces its own unique set of challenges and opportunities, shaping the landscape of midday trading in the stock market.
