The Mirage Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas is set to close its doors for good on July 17 after more than three decades of operation. Before it shuts down, the casino will be giving away a total of $1.6 million in prizes as required by Nevada law. This amount will be distributed in unclaimed progressive jackpots from both slot machines and table games to lucky players and gamblers.
The cash prizes will be awarded over a period of seven days, starting from July 9 to July 16, with varying amounts each day. The casino plans to hand out $200,000 in guaranteed winnings on the slots from Tuesday through Thursday, increasing to $250,000 on Friday and Saturday, and then dropping to $100,000 on the final day. In total, $1.2 million will be given out from slot machines and $400,000 from table game jackpots.
