The family of missing University of Missouri student Riley Strain held a press conference in Nashville to provide an update on search efforts. Strain went missing on March 8 after being kicked out of a bar on Broadway, sparking a national search. Nashville authorities have searched extensively on land and in the river, leading Strain’s family to reach out to the United Cajun Navy for assistance.

The United Cajun Navy, known for its disaster response efforts, will deploy resources along the Cumberland River to search for Strain. Despite public assistance in the search, the group emphasizes the need for a more organized and safe approach to ensure Riley’s safe return. Metro Nashville Police have released video footage of Strain on the night of his disappearance, dispelling rumors of foul play but maintaining the search efforts to locate the 22-year-old.

As the search continues, Strain’s family remains grateful for the support and efforts in finding him. In addition to the search efforts, the Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission is investigating whether Strain was overserved alcohol on Broadway. Despite challenges, the goal remains to bring Riley home, with the family and volunteers working together to support the search and rescue mission.
