Dr. Katrina Armstrong, who had been serving as interim president of Columbia University, resigned on Friday. Her resignation comes amid the university’s ongoing conflicts with the Trump administration concerning federal funding and facing criticism over its handling of pro-Palestinian protests on campus. Subsequently, the university’s board has appointed Claire Shipman to take over as acting president.
