North Dakota State Senator Doug Larsen, along with his wife and two children, tragically died in a small plane crash in Utah. Larsen was the pilot of the plane, which crashed shortly after takeoff. The Grand County Sheriff’s Department confirmed that all four people on board were killed. The cause of the crash is currently under investigation by the National Transportation Safety Board. Larsen was a Republican senator and chair of a Senate panel that handled industry and business legislation. His seat will be filled by a successor appointed by District Republicans until the next election.
