The car chase that unfolded on Monday in the Compton area and ended on the 60 Freeway in Los Angeles involved a suspected DUI driver who may have been armed. Despite authorities initially falling back on the pursuit, they later resumed chasing the driver after he stopped at a gas station. The pursuit culminated in the driver pulling over on the freeway shoulder near Exit 16 and surrendering to the police. Aerial footage from NewsChopper 4 revealed that two individuals were detained after surrendering, although law enforcement did not disclose their identities.
