Another allegation has surfaced against Donald Trump, with a former model adding her voice to over a dozen women who have accused the former president of sexual misconduct. Stacey Williams, previously a model for Sports Illustrated, has alleged that Trump groped her in 1993 as Jeffrey Epstein observed. Williams shared details of the incident with CNN and on a Zoom call with Survivors for Kamala, a group not affiliated with any campaign.
During her interview with CNN, Williams stated that upon encountering Trump, he pulled her towards him and placed his hands on her. She described a progression of groping that included her breasts, hips, and buttocks, which lasted throughout their interaction. The Trump campaign, through National Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, has refuted these claims. Leavitt suggested that this narrative was fabricated by Kamala Harris’s campaign to divert attention from allegations against Harris’ husband, Doug Emhoff, which the Harris campaign has denied.
The alleged incident reportedly took place when Williams was dating Epstein, who, during the 1980s and 1990s, was a friend of Trump’s. Williams recounted that Epstein took her to Trump Tower to meet Trump, after which the alleged groping incident occurred. Williams has expressed a sense of being part of a coordinated event, referring to the experience as being paraded like a “piece of meat” for a “twisted game.” Following the encounter, Williams received a postcard from Trump, referring to Palm Beach, Florida, as her “home away from home.”
Williams’ story adds to the list of allegations against Trump, who has denied all claims of sexual assault made against him. In 2016, Trump was infamously recorded in the Access Hollywood tape making vulgar remarks about women. As the 2024 election approaches, the polls indicate a significant gender gap, with women showing a strong preference for Kamala Harris and men favoring Trump.
The potential impact of Williams’ allegations on voters remains uncertain, akin to the mixed opinions regarding the effect of the Access Hollywood tape during the 2016 election. Many voters have reportedly solidified their choices well ahead of the election, with current polling showing consistent trends since Harris announced her candidacy.
