Rep. Don Bacon (R-Neb.) suggested on Tuesday that other states should consider adopting Nebraska’s electoral system. However, he acknowledged the improbability of this change and proposed that Nebraska transition to a winner-take-all system following the 2024 U.S. presidential election.
Rep. Bacon stated, “Well, I think two things can be true.” This indicates his belief in the merit of Nebraska’s current system while recognizing the benefits of a potential change to align with other states if they do not follow suit.
