In downtown Stockton, a shooting incident occurred, resulting in the death of one teenager and another teenager being sent to the hospital, according to the Stockton Police Department. The incident took place at North Center and East Lindsay streets after reports of shots fired were made. When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered two teenage boys, aged 15 and 16, both suffering from gunshot wounds. Unfortunately, one of the teenagers died on-site, while the other was transported to a nearby hospital, where he is expected to survive. Following the shooting, Stockton officers were seen in a different area south of the reported incident, specifically on North El Dorado Street and East Weber Avenue. A substantial area has been cordoned off, and the California Highway Patrol was observed diverting traffic. Witnesses reported hearing gunshots and saw a person lying on the ground near a grassy area. First responders were witnessed performing CPR on the individual. Moreover, a man was detained by the officers, but it remains unclear if he is connected to the shooting.
