TikTok has taken action against accounts on its platform that were connected to Russian media groups, citing their involvement in “covert influence operations” as the 2024 U.S. election approaches. The company announced on Monday that it had removed accounts associated with the parent companies Rossiya Segodnya and TV-Novosti, as they were found to be in violation of TikTok’s community guidelines. TikTok did not specify which particular accounts were removed.
