In two recently released videos by Marvel, Charlie Cox reflects on the near decade since the beginning of the Daredevil series, acknowledging that the show initially premiered on Netflix in April 2015. As fans anticipate the arrival of “Daredevil: Born Again” on Disney+, the cast and crew express enthusiasm for returning to street-level storytelling.
Executive producer Brad Winderbaum explains the approach taken by “Born Again” to both honor and expand upon the original series on Netflix. Vincent D’Onofrio, reprising his role as the villainous Wilson Fisk, also known as Kingpin, expresses enthusiasm about returning to a character he finds enjoyable to portray. The new series will also reintroduce the Emmy-nominated stunt coordinator from the original show’s first two seasons, Philip Silvera, known for choreographing the acclaimed hallway fight scene.
The second video features Charlie Cox, Vincent D’Onofrio, as well as returning fan-favorites Deborah Ann Woll and Elden Henson, who reprise their roles as Karen Page and Foggy Nelson, respectively. Unlike Cox and D’Onofrio, Woll and Henson were not previously involved in other Marvel projects. Woll shared her perspective on revisiting her character, suggesting that the time away allowed for growth and development, creating a new iteration of Karen Page.
“Daredevil: Born Again” is scheduled to premiere on Disney+ on March 4 at 6 PM PT/9 PM ET.
