Station to Station is a unique puzzle game that combines elements of simulation-style games with resource and money management. The objective of the game is to connect buildings that produce resources to the ones that need those resources, and ultimately connect them all to the cities. The game features beautiful voxel art and a relaxing atmosphere that adds to its charm. Despite not being what was expected, the unexpected delight and clever levels make it enjoyable.

The game is divided into six different worlds, each with five or six levels. Each level takes thematic cues from its respective world, but these themes do not affect the puzzles themselves. The voxel art used in the game is stunning and extends to every aspect of the worlds, including animals and landscapes. The lighting in the game further adds to its charm, with rivers and lakes glistening in the sun and a warm golden hour ambiance. The gameplay involves connecting buildings and resources through railway lines, and as they are connected, the landscape becomes colorful and inviting.

Station to Station offers a puzzle-like experience that feels like a board game brought to life. Each level starts with a few buildings on the map, and the player must connect them in a way that ensures every resource reaches its designated location. The game introduces a “stacking” mechanic that encourages non-logical connections, adding an interesting twist to the gameplay. Completing levels with a surplus of cash and achieving bonus goals are additional challenges in the game. Although the game strikes a balance between planning and thinking on your feet, unexpected failures do not lead to frustration but rather provide an opportunity to replay the charming levels with hindsight.
