Samsung is set to introduce select Galaxy AI features to older flagship phones and tablets through the One UI 6.1 update next month. This development was confirmed by a Samsung representative on the company’s community forum in Korea, as reported by various sources like 9to5Google and Android Central. The update will bring features like Circle to Search and Magic Rewrite to flagship phones released in 2021, including the S21, S21 Plus, S21 Ultra, Flip 3, and Fold 3.
Furthermore, a slightly modified version of Galaxy AI, without Instant Slow-Mo, will be made available to newer flagship devices from 2022 such as the S22, S22 Plus, S22 Ultra, Z Fold 4, Z Flip 4, Tab S8, and Tab S8 Ultra. These devices will receive the same Galaxy AI version as the more budget-friendly Galaxy S23 FE. Instant Slow-Mo, a feature that automatically plays videos in slow motion with a tap, was first introduced with the S24 line but has since been added to S23 models as well.
For users of 2021 flagship Samsung phones, the update will also bring two Galaxy AI features, Circle to Search and Magic Rewrite, to devices like the S21, S21 Plus, S21 Ultra, Flip 3, and Fold 3.
