While currently featuring only audio capabilities, Solos plans to release a camera-equipped version later this year powered by OpenAI’s new GPT-4o AI model. This advancement will enable the camera to recognize objects and answer questions about the user’s surroundings, offering a hands-free and interactive experience.

The Solos AirGo Vision offers a swappable frame system, allowing users to easily switch out the camera component for situations where it may not be appropriate or preferred. Additional frames can be purchased for customization, with prices ranging from $89 to $129. The smart glasses will also include notification LEDs to alert users of incoming calls or emails, and can be integrated with Google Gemini and Anthropic’s Claude AI models for added functionality.

Although the price and specific release date for the Solos AirGo Vision have not been announced, it is anticipated that they will be priced above $249.99, as the camera-less version set to launch in July will already be priced at that amount. In comparison, the Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses currently start at $299, indicating that the Solos AirGo Vision may offer a competitive alternative for consumers seeking cutting-edge smart eyewear technology.
