After 2.5 years, NieR Re[in]carnation has announced its end of service, marking the conclusion of The People and the World. The final chapter is set to be released on March 28, 2024, with the game officially ending on April 29, 2024 at 22:00 PST. The developers expressed gratitude to the players for their patronage and hope that they will continue to enjoy the game until the very end.
Leading up to the end of service, NieR Re[in]carnation will continue to add content, characters, and hold various events and campaigns. They also plan to make all event stories and card stories available for reading on March 28, 2024, allowing players to enjoy as many stories as possible. Additionally, several campaigns will be held during the Story Completion Countdown Event Period, offering free Summons, increased drop rates, and other special missions as gestures of appreciation to the players.
In recognition of the Japanese third anniversary, special campaigns with increased item drop rates and new Festive costumes are scheduled to be implemented between February 1, 2024, and March 7, 2024. Moreover, the Final Chapter Countdown Campaign will take place between February 28, 2024, and March 28, 2024, featuring new character Summons and an increase in the drop rate of all items obtained from certain quests. The developers also noted that event duration and content are subject to change without notice, adding to the anticipation and unpredictability of the final moments of the game.
