Tickets are now available for Universal Horror Unleashed, a new attraction set to open this summer at AREA15, an immersive entertainment hub in Las Vegas. This interactive station, part of Universal Destinations and Experiences, introduces a year-round version of Halloween Horror Nights, complete with iconic monsters, starting on August 14, shortly after Epic Universe’s opening. The first major franchises to be featured include the Universal Monsters, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, The Exorcist: Believer, and a popular Halloween Horror Nights attraction, Scarecrow: The Reaping.
Visitors are encouraged to plan their Summerween activities, which will feature appearances from characters like Leatherface and the Universal Monsters. The attraction promises a blend of haunted houses, thrilling entertainment such as with Jack the Clown, and themed dining options, making it an exciting way to escape the summer heat. Universal Horror Unleashed will join other AREA15 attractions, including Meow Wolf’s Omega Mart. A preview of the experience is available online.
The year-round attraction was previously announced to host limited runs of haunted houses inspired by Universal Studios’ horror themes, as well as characters from Horror Nights’ original canon, similar to those seen at Universal theme parks. There is anticipation that popular previous attractions, such as Universal Studios Florida’s Slaughter Sinema and Universal Studios Hollywood’s Alien vs. Predator, might be featured in the future.
As the opening date approaches, more details about themed dining and drinks, which will likely pay homage to Universal’s horror history, are expected. Fans of Halloween Horror Nights are hoping for cult favorites like HHN East’s pizza fries. The promotional material prominently features Jack the Clown, a beloved icon from Horror Nights, hinting at his significant role in the new attraction.
Tickets can be purchased through the official Universal Horror Unleashed website, with prices starting at $69 for a single visit to the haunts and $99 for unlimited access.
