Amazon’s October Prime Day event is offering discounts on a wide range of products, including hefty savings on Samsung’s Galaxy S23 devices. The Galaxy S23 Ultra, in particular, has dropped to a record-low price of $950 for a version with 256GB of storage, a $250 discount from the regular price. The Galaxy S23+ with 256GB of storage has also seen a price drop from $1,000 to $800, saving customers $200. The base S23 has dropped by $150 from $800 to $650. While the base model lacks bells and whistles compared to the S23+ and S23 Ultra, it is a decent option for those in the market for a newish phone that handles the basics.

The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra received a score of 89 in a review earlier this year, with its excellent display, strong performance, better cameras, long battery life, and built-in S Pen being major highlights. However, the lack of design innovation and S Pen upgrades, as well as the high price, were mentioned as drawbacks. With the current sale, the price is less of an issue. The Galaxy S23+ is an iterative update that checks most of the basic boxes in terms of screen, performance, and battery life, but it may not impress users of the S22 model. As for the base S23, it is a decent option for those who prioritize the basics and don’t mind missing out on the added features of the S23+ and S23 Ultra.

It’s important to note that Samsung is set to release the Galaxy S23 FE (Fan Edition) later this month, which offers a larger display and battery compared to the standard S23, as well as a cheaper price of $600. Customers should consider their priorities and budget before making a purchase decision.
