Samsung Releases Official List of Galaxy Phones Eligible for Android 14 Update

Samsung has officially announced that it is rolling out the Android 14 update, known as One UI 6.0, to its Galaxy S23 series smartphones. This update includes platform improvements from Google as well as updates to Samsung’s skin, including new camera features and updated emoji. The update will initially be exclusive to the Galaxy S23 series, but Samsung has provided a list of other devices that will be eligible for the Android 14 update. This list includes past flagship models, foldable devices, and some A-Series devices.

The confirmed devices that will receive the One UI 6.0 update include the Galaxy S23, S22, S21, and S20 series, as well as the Note 20 series, Galaxy A54, and Galaxy A53. Additionally, almost every Samsung foldable device will receive the update except for the original Galaxy Fold. While this initial list is not complete, Samsung’s software update policy suggests that more devices will likely be updated to Android 14 in the future.

It is expected that the devices on the list will receive the update relatively quickly, based on the previous Android 13 rollout. However, the exact release date for the Android 14 update for the Galaxy S23 series in the US is still unknown. Samsung has stated that the update will come “soon.” It is important to note that Samsung has not officially confirmed any devices beyond those included in the initial list for the Android 14 update.
