Sofia Carson, known for her role in Carry-On, takes on a new coming-of-age role in Netflix’s upcoming film The Life List, inspired by Lori Nelson Spielman’s novel. Carson portrays Alex, a young woman dealing with the grief of losing her mother, portrayed by Connie Britton from Zero Day. Despite her mother’s passing, Alex receives video messages left by her mother before her death. These messages task Alex with completing a list of teenage goals, such as participating in a mosh pit and performing stand-up comedy. For each goal Alex accomplishes, she receives a new message via her mother’s lawyer, played by Kyle Allen from A Haunting in Venice. The story unfolds as a journey filled with risk-taking, self-discovery, and the potential for true love. The film’s trailer provides a glimpse into Alex’s journey. The Life List is set to premiere on Netflix on March 28.
