As the New York Comic Con approaches, artists and brands are preparing to showcase an array of exclusive items at the event. While a variety of toys, games, and collectibles will be featured, limited-edition art is expected to attract significant attention. Some standout pieces have been highlighted ahead of the convention.
Artist Truck Torrence, known as 100% Soft, has created a new 24×36 inch screenprint featuring Spider-Man and his iconic villains, including Sandman, Rhino, Green Goblin, Venom, and even J. Jonah Jameson. Torrence expressed his admiration for Spider-Man and his adversaries, noting his desire to honor them through the artwork. This limited edition of 200 prints will be available for purchase at booth 1665 for $60, alongside other exclusive items.
Jason Edmiston, another acclaimed artist, will present his latest works at booth 2058. Among them is a piece inspired by the film “The Substance,” titled “Pump It Up,” available in an edition of 75 for $25. Additionally, Edmiston’s “8th Wonder of the World,” a tribute to King Kong, will be offered as a signed and numbered timed edition for $250. This substantial artwork measures 56×24 inches and can be purchased either at the booth or online.
Gallery Spoke Art will occupy booth 1481 with several offerings, including a “Godzilla” print by Matt Taylor. Meanwhile, despite past criticisms of the company, Mondo will present a “Goonies” poster by Dan Hipp. This 18×24 inch print, limited to an edition of 165, will be available at booth 1000 for $60.
These are just a few of the artistic highlights attendees can expect at New York Comic Con, held at the Javits Center in New York City from October 17-20. Further coverage and updates will be provided by io9.
