The article has been updated as of April 16, 2025, to include the streaming release of “The Brutalist” and the latest pricing information.

“The Brutalist” is now available for viewers to watch from home, offering the flexibility of pausing and resuming the film at their convenience. Reviewer Siddhant Adlakha described it as a “modern American masterpiece,” and it was listed among the best films of 2024 by Mashable. Directed by Brady Corbet, the film is set in the aftermath of World War II and explores themes of immigration, architecture, and Jewish identity. It features performances by Adrien Brody, who won both a Golden Globe and an Academy Award for his role as László Tóth, alongside Felicity Jones, Guy Pearce, and Raffey Cassidy. At the 2025 Academy Awards, the film received numerous nominations and won for Best Cinematography, Best Original Score, and Best Lead Actor.

The storyline follows László Tóth, a fictional Jewish Hungarian architect and Holocaust survivor, as he relocates to America post-World War II. The film has been acclaimed for its portrayal of the American dream and its meticulous construction, earning a 93% critic rating and an 80% audience rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

“The Brutalist” is available at digital video-on-demand retailers and will soon be available for streaming. Options for watching the film include purchasing or renting it digitally, with the latter being the most cost-effective but limited choice. The film was released digitally about two months after its theatrical debut and is available on platforms such as Prime Video and Apple TV.

Furthermore, “The Brutalist” is set to stream on Max starting May 16, due to a multi-year output deal between A24 and Warner Bros. Discovery. Various Max streaming deals are available, including annual subscriptions with potential savings, options for ad-free viewing, and complimentary subscriptions through certain service providers like Cricket and DoorDash.

For those who prefer combined streaming services, a bundle deal including Max, Disney+, and Hulu offers significant savings.
