Luda, a company specializing in AI training and deployment, has announced the launch of Real-Time Reinforcement Learning (RT-RL), a new system that allows users to create AI agents that can interact based on physics without the need for coding or animation. The company has secured $7 million in funding, with Bitkraft Ventures and Compound leading the round. The funding also includes contributions from Jeff Dean, chief scientist at Google, and Illia Polosukhin, co-author of the Transformer paper. Luda aims to revolutionize consumer interaction with AI by offering a creative medium that empowers users to craft AI agents through Lego-like building blocks.

Luda’s users can create AI agents using Mels, a real-time browser-based simulation powered by generative AI. These agents also utilize Accelerated Learning, Low-Latency Inference, and Human Interactivity. Luda believes that these agents are particularly well-suited for user-generated content gameplay, as anyone can create them. Vijay Sundaram, founder and CEO of Luda, emphasizes the potential for fundamentally new experiences and the fusion of human creativity, social connection, and user-generated agents in this new consumer category.
