A stove fire at the MAA Tanglewood Apartments in Anderson, South Carolina, caused extensive damage to several units. The fire started just after 7:30 p.m. on Saturday night and quickly spread to two apartment buildings on the upper floor. First responders, including the Anderson Fire Department and three other county departments, arrived at the scene to find heavy smoke and flames. They evacuated residents from the affected apartments and worked for approximately 45 minutes to bring the fire under control. While two units were completely destroyed by the fire, 10 others sustained significant water and smoke damage. Thankfully, there were no reported injuries. The American Red Cross is currently providing support to 12 individuals affected by the fire by offering food, shelter, financial assistance, and referrals to other resources.
