Google is set to officially launch the Pixel 8, 8 Pro, and Pixel Watch 2 at their upcoming event on October 4. The company has not kept the new phones and smartwatch a secret, as many details have already been revealed. The Pixel 8 and 8 Pro will feature advanced Pixel cameras and Google AI, with leaked videos showcasing new camera features and enhanced video stabilization. The Pixel 8 Pro may also include a built-in thermometer. The Pixel Watch 2, which closely resembles the original Pixel Watch, will come with improved water resistance. Preorders for all devices will begin on October 4.

The Pixel event can be watched live on Google’s YouTube channel. The Made by Google event has been an annual occurrence in October for several years, and this year it will take place in New York, with invited members of the press attending. The event will not be so much an unveiling, but more of a filling in of the blanks, as many details about the new devices have already been leaked. CNET will be present at the event to cover the reveals of the Pixel 8, 8 Pro, and Pixel Watch 2.

The new Pixel phones, the Pixel 8 and 8 Pro, will have advanced Pixel cameras and Google AI features to help users do more. Leaked videos have shown off the new camera features, including video stabilization, night mode photo processing, and improved audio isolation for video recording. The phones will have a more rounded design with smoother edges, a boosted refresh rate for the screens, and a shared main 48-megapixel camera. The Pixel 8 Pro will also include a telephoto camera and a built-in thermometer, which could open up more health features. The Pixel Watch 2 closely resembles the previous model but will come with IP68 water resistance.
