The blanket belonging to missing 3-year-old boy Elijah Vue has been discovered almost a month after his disappearance in Two Rivers, Wisconsin. Two Rivers Police Department Chief Ben Meinnert confirmed that the blanket indeed belonged to Elijah.
Elijah’s mother, Katrina Baur, and the man looking after him when he disappeared, Jesse Vang, have been charged with child neglect. Baur left her son with Vang to teach him a lesson and had planned to pick him up later. Despite the charges, both suspects deny any involvement in Elijah’s disappearance. The public has been urged to help in the search for Elijah in both urban and rural areas, with the reward for information leading to his discovery now standing at $40,000.
Police have been sifting through various surveillance footage and following leads related to a beige 1997 Nissan Altima with Wisconsin plates in connection to Elijah’s disappearance.
