Police find body after Florida woman is carjacked at gunpoint, contacted husband about being followed.

Authorities in Florida believe they have found the body of Katherine Altagracia Guerrero De Aguasvivas, a woman whose carjacking at gunpoint was captured on camera after she called her husband for help. The incident occurred when a gunman forced his way into De Aguasvivas’ vehicle at a red light in Seminole County. The suspect, wearing a black hoodie and ski-type mask, was seen carrying what appeared to be an automatic handgun.

Cellphone footage captured the gunman pointing the weapon at De Aguasvivas’ car before getting into the back seat. The situation escalated when De Aguasvivas made a U-turn and the suspects followed. Authorities believe the suspects were familiar with a new construction area where a vehicle, believed to be De Aguasvivas’, was found on fire with a body inside. DNA and dental records will be used to confirm the victim’s identity.

Sheriff Dennis Lemma mentioned that this was not a random incident, as the suspects seemed to know exactly who they were following. De Aguasvivas had called her husband prior to the carjacking, reporting being followed, but they did not call 911. Investigators are still piecing together a motive for the tragic incident and are currently searching for the suspects’ vehicle.
