Apple is addressing reports of overheating issues with its new iPhone 15 models. The company assures users that these issues do not pose any safety risks and will not affect the long-term performance of the affected devices. Apple has identified a few conditions that can cause the iPhone 15 to run warmer than expected, including certain third-party apps and a bug in iOS 17. The company is working with app developers to release fixes and plans to roll out a software update to address the issue. Additionally, Apple explains that the device may feel warmer during the initial setup or restoration process, as well as when using graphic-intensive apps, streaming high-quality video, or wirelessly charging the device.

Demand for the iPhone 15 remains strong, with pre-orders tracking higher than expected, especially for the premium iPhone 15 Pro models. Delivery and shipment times for various Pro models have been pushed to late October through mid-November. This comes as Apple reported a decline in sales for the third consecutive quarter. However, analysts believe that advancements in processor technology, camera capabilities, and charging systems, along with carrier discounts, may incentivize users to finally upgrade their devices. The iPhone 15 Pro starts at $1,099, while the iPhone 15 Pro Max starts at $1,199, and the entry-level iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus are priced at $799 and $899, respectively.
