Meta, formerly known as Facebook, recently announced a new feature on Messenger that allows users to share high-definition (HD) photos. This upgrade essentially means that users can now share photos in 4K resolution, enhancing the image quality and clarity. Prior to this update, 4K photos were compressed, affecting their overall appearance due to network conditions; however, the new HD button enables users to share photos in their full resolution without heavy compression.

In addition to HD photo sharing, Messenger users can now send files up to 100MB, an increase from the previous 25MB limit. This enhancement will make it easier for users to share videos without having to split them into smaller segments before sending. The company is also introducing a new feature that allows users to create shared albums in group chats, enabling members to collectively share and organize photos and videos from various group activities, such as trips and events.

Moreover, Meta is rolling out QR codes and links on Messenger for connecting with people, making it more convenient to add new contacts without manually entering phone numbers. This update provides users with a quick and efficient way to expand their Messenger network and communicate with others seamlessly. With these new features and improvements, Messenger aims to enhance user experience, making photo sharing and communication more accessible, efficient, and engaging.
